About Me
Dr. Shi is a board-certified and fellowship-trained interventional pain physiatrist and an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Penn State Health. He was originally trained as an orthopedic surgeon in Shanghai, China. He completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation and subsequent fellowship training in pain medicine in the United States. He treats patients with pain in a comprehensive approach to avoid opioid use. Dr. Shi has extensive training and work experience in biomedical research with publications in top-notch journals. He has a genuine interest in regenerative and holistic medicine, especially in its application in pain management.
