About Me

Tammy E. Corr, DO, a board-certified neonatologist, has been practicing at Penn State Health Children's Hospital since her graduation from neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship training at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. Since then, she has been studying long-term outcomes of neonatal abstinence syndrome. Dr. Corr received funding from the Penn State Social Science Research Institute to study special education use and health outcomes of children with a history of neonatal abstinence syndrome. She also received funding through the Children's Miracle Network to study longitudinal growth in children with a history of neonatal abstinence syndrome. Dr. Corr has applied for research funding from the National Institutes of Health to continue her work.

Dr. Corr is also the director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Neurodevelopmental Follow-Up Clinic, where she oversees the evaluation of former NICU graduates at risk for abnormal neurodevelopment. She is involved in the NICU's Family-Centered Care Quality Improvement team and sits on the Penn State Health Children's Hospital Mortality Review, Safe Sleep, and NICU Family Advisory committees. She serves as an academic mentor to two Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellows and regularly lectures residents and medical students. She hopes to pursue prospective, intervention trials for the improvement of long-term outcomes for infants and children with a history of neonatal abstinence syndrome.
